Lapdog Entertainment recently inked a deal with Sales Agency, Light House pictures to represent their upcoming documentary “The Beginning Of The End,” a film chronicling the origins of the Black Eyed Peas.
The Black Eyed Peas (BEP) have been the most innovative hip-hop group of the past 10 years — they have gone from being members of the underground rap scene in Los Angeles to some of the world’s biggest stages. The group has gone through many musical changes; female members have come and gone, they were nearly dropped by their record label for non-sales until a little known singer, Fergie, had a chance encounter with BEP leader Will.I.Am. That meeting forever changed the group and solidified them as a unit.
“The Beginning Of The End,” will take us through the journey of four uniquely talented individuals from different walks of life that banded together as one cohesive band.
The film will showcase the long road to fame and how money and success nearly tore the band apart. We will show the audience how the Black Eyed Peas evolved over the years as a group and go in depth of how and why each of them went solo all with varying degrees of success. Yet, after a brief hiatus, made a triumph return to the music game reclaiming their worldly status by opening up for the World Cup in South Africa and performing half-time at the Super bowl.
Since the Black Eye Peas dropped on the scene way back in 1995, they have survived many eras of Hip-Hop – first going with the flow and then engineering a music revolution with the blending of Techno, House, and R&B genres, which have now been meshed into one giant pot of Black Eyed Peas.
