Lapdog Entertainment will release two or three feature films a year that deliver great stories and breathtaking visual imagery. Thomas Gibson
President – Emmy® Award winning Writer, Director, Producer
Gibson began his career more than 14 years ago directing television specials for the WB network and independently producing the internationally acclaimed historical documentary “Bloody Island,” in 1997. After winning several film festivals, Gibson was hired as a producer on the hit television show “The E! True Hollywood Story,” where he co-produced such memorable episodes as Patty Hearst, The Sam Sheppard murder case, The Menendez Brothers and Gilligan’s Island.
In 2001, he ventured into the world of music. He created and executive produced “How I’m Living” a hit show that highlighted the celebrity lifestyles of hip-hop artists. Gibson returned to the E! Channel to produce “Saturday Night Live: 101 Greatest Moments”.
After the success of the series special, he connected with Quincy Jones III on the film “Letter To The President.” Gibson wrote, produced and directed the critically acclaimed film that was released and distributed throughout the world by Image Entertainment.
A few of Lapdog Entertainment clients have included: Fox Italy, Urban TV London, MNET, Australia XYZ, BBC, South African Broadcast Company (SABC), Universal and SonyBMG. Lapdog Entertainment has produced more than 400 hours of television programming throughout the United States, Europe and Africa.
Sherry Harris
Vice President – Producer
Sherry Harris brings over 15 years of experience in project management and advanced technology business development in the cable, satellite and motion picture industries. Her extensive background in the digital media space is highlighted by successfully launching services and products at DIRECTV, DIRECTV International, 2BAW Entertainment, and Experian Interactive Media.
Ms. Harris is instrumental in helping to negotiate the company’s production deals, including talent agreements, footage and still clearances and working with distributors and networks. In addition, she oversees the companies development slate, creatively develops concepts internally as well as hears pitches.
